Unlike standard rigid flatwork trowels that bind or dig when working on contoured forms, the SP16SD features a highly flexible blade made from premium hardened and tempered spring steel. It is fitted with a shortened Xtralite® aluminum mounting that allows the entire length of the 16" x 4-1/2" blade to conform naturally to concave or convex shapes. Combined with fully rounded ends that eliminate line marks, this trowel enables finishers to achieve a glass-smooth, seamless burnish on pools, spas, radius curbs, and decorative concrete features.
